Healing Families
At FAVOR Upstate, we recognize that substance use disorder doesn’t just impact the person, it impacts the entire family. That’s why we offer compassionate support programs to empower loved ones to be a part of the solution. Programs like our Family Recovery Meetings and Family Recovery Support Services provide no-cost addiction support to help families cope, heal, and come back together.

Family Recovery Meetings
Weekly group sessions educate and support families dealing with substance use disorder. These meetings are a safe space for family members to share their experiences, gain insights into the nature of substance use disorder, and learn effective strategies to support their loved ones.
Significant Other Support (S.O.S) Group
This family support group is dedicated to spouses, adult children, and significant others affected by their loved one’s substance use disorder.
Grief Recovery Group
A supportive and loving environment designed for individuals who have lost loved ones to substance use disorder.
Al-Anon Family Group
Al-Anon brings relatives and friends of alcoholics together to share their experiences to help lighten the load of the challenges they face.
Family Recovery Support Services
Trained Family Recovery Specialists offer direct support to family members dealing with a loved one’s substance use disorder.
Information and Referral
FAVOR staff members are always available to help guide family members through treatment and recovery options so they can find the best path of recovery for them.
